It's not easy to have information about this band because there isn't an official biography and on the NET there's no page about them. Maybe you can try to contact their Recording House, Atlantic Records, as I did, but I'm still waiting their answer.
I have contact with the Official Fan Club to get some documentation and I promise I'll publish all when I receive the material.
So if you want to have another tour here in the future, maybe you'll find something new.
What can I say?
Mr Big recorded their first album in 1989. Before then they weren't well known except for Billy Sheenan who recorded two albums with David Lee Roth; these two albums are "Eat 'em and Smile" and "Skyscraper".
About the band, surely you know the names of the components: Eric Martin is the singer, Paul Gilbert the guitarist, Billy Sheenan the bassist and Pat Torpey the Drummer.

Eric Martin was born on October 10th 1960 in Long Island NY. He's half Irish and half Italian. His fave bands are Bad Co., Aerosmith, Kings X and Tower of Power. He's been ifnluenced by Paul Rogers, Otis Redding, Wilson Picket and Elvis. He was introduced to the world of music when he was 10. Before joining Mr Big he sang with 415 and Eric Mrtin band.

Paul Gilbert plays Ibanez guitars, in particular the "Paul Gilbert's model". He uses Laney guitar amps , Di Marzio pick ups and Dean Markley strings. He was born on November 6th 1966 in Carbondale IL and his nationality is Polish-German-English. His favourite bands are The beatles, Jellyfish, K.D. Lang. He's been influenced by Van Halen, The Beatles and Led Zeppelin. He started playing the guitar when he was 9 years old. Before joining the Mr Big, he achieved some degree of fame as the guitarist of Racer X. He was reknowned for using a drill, putting guitar pics on them and using it while he did the fingering...

Billy Sheehan plays Yamaha Basses and Di Marzio pick ups.
His nationality is American. He was born on 19th March 1953 in Buffalo, NY.
He likes Gypsy King, Humble Pie and Yardbirds very much. He's been influenced by Jimi Hendrix, Frank Sinatra, The Beatles and many others.
Befeore Mr Big he played with Talas, UFO and David Lee Roth.

Pat Torpey was born on 13 december 1959 and he's half Irish and half American. His favourite bands are Led Zeppelin, The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix. He's influenced by Led Zeppelin, The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix. Before, he played with Robert Plant, John Parr, Belinda Carlisle, Exposure and Be. He plays Tama drums with Pro-Mark sticks, Remo drum heads and Zildjian cymbals.

I'm sad not to give you more precise information at the moment, but surely I'll do in the future, when I receive all the news I'm waiting for. In the meanwhile browse around here and, if you haven't done yet, go to your record shop and buy all Mr Big's albums, because they're fantastic.
